Citrus Rush!
Photoshop | Illustrator
-
This project was created for my Packaging Design class, where I built on the skills I developed during my Not Tonight, Vampire project to push my design, branding, and prototyping abilities further. I created a full visual identity for a sparkling water brand called Citrus Rush, producing both physical and digital mockups. The assignment required three distinct 12 fl oz can designs each representing a different flavor. While still feeling cohesive as a unified brand. I also designed the variety‑pack packaging to complete the product line.
I began by researching common visual trends in sparkling water branding and identifying what makes a design feel refreshing, summery, and hydrating. Something you’d want to grab at the pool or beach. From there, I designed the logo and challenged myself to take a more minimal approach. After sketching three concepts, I combined my strongest ideas in Illustrator and printed my first round of prototypes. This revealed that the logo was too large for the can’s front panel, so I returned to my file and refined the layout through multiple iterations until the proportions felt balanced and shelf‑ready.
Next, I designed the variety pack in Illustrator and created a Photoshop mockup featuring all three flavors. Scaling the dieline to accurately hold 3–6 cans required several test prints and adjustments, but once finalized, the structure and artwork came together cleanly. The final result is a bright, summer‑ready sparkling water line with cohesive branding and packaging that feels professional, modern, and retail‑ready.
